Better Late than Never

I guess a little late is better than never... Here are some of the pictures of the babies enjoying their first Christmas together :) Conor opened the presents like a pro
Joe & Leslie got a live lobster-gram. Conor didn't get to eat it, but he got to celebrate :)

Leslie got hand-print Christmas ornament kits for the little ones. I think that was Joella's first craft project!
Of course, Joella had to meet her buddy, Sage. These two are just about 13 hours apart in age. They are going to have so much fun together! (Disclaimer -- this might be confusing, but we are holding each other's babes)

Of course we had to have our token fondue fun. New Year's Eve was a blast -- lots of laughs with good friends :)

Bumbo

One of Joella's new daily activities is sitting in her Bumbo. Too bad her cousin Conor isn't around to make things more interesting!

The Bird

The title of this post was not because of the hat... Although speaking of the hat, my dad calls this our little Russian baby. This one will keep her warm for awhile :) Thanks, Grandma Jane!

We didn't expect our little one to be so ahead of her times in her hand gestures... First Peace, Now this!?! This was a picture my mom took over Christmas. I assure you we did not teach her this.

Go....Hawks?

Today we're posting something on our blog that a few years ago I would never have expected to do. Perhaps it's because we've become nostalgic since moving away from Iowa or maybe it's because of the dry run in Cyclone athletics over the past few years (no, I don't call this year's football season a great season), but whatever the reason we are down here in Alabama cheering on the Hawkeyes tonight in the Orange Bowl.

I am somewhat hesitant to admit that Joella's first sports shirt is a Hawkeyes shirt....I probably won't hear the end of that for a while....but truth be told their football team was a lot of fun to watch this year.

I saw it in a blog post by Chelsa a little while ago, but I also had a hard time capturing Joella's smile. I would get her to smile, but then once I grabbed the camera Daddy disappeared and she'd stop smiling!
